Goeglein's Catering Standard Services

Staff

Goeglein's provides experienced trained, and friendly staff to serve you and your guests.
Our hostess coordinates our catering services with you so that your reception can be worry free.
Our waitresses will cut and serve your wedding cake buffet style. We will provide the cake knife for cutting if needed.
Our waitresses will clear the guest tables, providing a final clear immediately following the closing of the buffet for the evening.

Tables

Goeglein's will provide skirting for your head table, cake table and other special tables.
Goeglein's will cover all tables with white linen tablecloths.
Select cloth napkins with china service from a wide array of colors.
Goeglein's decorate and maintain an attractive buffet table for the duration of the serving time.
All serving utensils on the buffets will be stainless, glass or wicker.

Scottish Rite Center Policies

Food and Beverage

Goeglein's Catering retains the exclusive right to supply all food and beverages at the Scottish Rite Center with the exception of wedding cakes and decorated cakes.
Goeglein's is licensed by the State of Indiana to provide alcoholic beverages and will abide by all rules and regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages.
Any beverages consumed at the Scottish Rite Center must be purchased from Goeglein's in accordance with State regulations.
You can make changes to your menu up to 10 days prior to the event date.
All menus provided are merely suggestions. We will gladly personalize any menu to meet your needs.

Leftover Food

If you would like to have any leftover food, you must give notice to our catering office prior to your event. Any leftovers not requested will be donated to local charities.
The amount of leftovers available will not exceed your final guest count less the number of guests actually served and is at the discretion of Goeglein's based on Board of Health regulations.
All leftovers will be packaged by Goeglein's to ensure safe handling.
Leftovers will be held a maximum of 2 days after the event.

Food Consumption Minimums & Guest Guarantees

Food consumption for an event at the Scottish Rite Center on a Saturday must be at least $3000 for the Valencia Ballroom, $1500 for the Horseshoe Lobby and $1000 for the Gentlemen's Lounge and the Meeting Room.
If these minimums are not met there will be an additional charge of $500 for the Valencia Ballroom and $300 for the Horseshoe Lobby, Gentlemen's Lounge and Meeting Room.
We require a guaranteed guest count 10 days prior to your event.
Your guaranteed guest count cannot be decreased, but may be increased up to 2 days prior to your event.
We will be prepared to serve five percent above your guaranteed count up to 10 guests.
You will be billed for the guaranteed count, or the number of guests served, whichever is greater.

Facility Rental

Rental for the Scottish Rite Center is listed on our rental pricing page.
Rental for an event not requiring food service may be increased based on the date(s) required.
Standard rental charges are for an event lasting 5 hours. Additional time may be available at an additional charge.
All day weekday rental is available at an additional charge providing there are no scheduling conflicts.
Security is at the discretion of Goeglein's Catering for events held at the Scottish Rite Center. Goeglein's is responsible for hiring security and you will be billed for the cost of the security provided.
Houseman services are required at the Scottish Rite Center. They will direct your guests to the appropriate location within the facility and will assist your guests in anyway necessary.
Parking is available on the north side of the building. Parking packages are available at an additional charge.

Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice up to 60 days before your reception.
All prices subject to applicable sales taxes.
Please add a 16% service charge to food and beverage items. The service charge does not apply to rentals or labor.
Please add a 15% Scottish Rite Center catering fee to all food and beverage items.

Gratuities

Gratuities are at your discretion and will be appreciated. Please note that gratuities are NOT included in quoted prices.

Deposit, Payment and Cancellation

An event is firm upon receipt of a signed contract and booking deposit (if applicable). A booking deposit is required for all full service events.
A catering deposit equal to 50% of your proposal is required 60 days prior to the event and any remaining balance is due 10 days prior to your event.
Unless a customer has established credit with Goeglein's, all events must be paid in full 10 days prior to the event.
If you should cancel your reservation, your booking deposit will be returned when a signed contract and deposit have been received from another customer for the same time and same room(s) reserved by you.
Your catering deposit will be refunded if you cancel 30 days prior to your event.

Liability

The organization or individual renting the Scottish Rite Center from Goeglein's will be financially responsible for damages to any property equal to the cost of the repair or replacement.
Goeglein's and the Scottish Rite Center cannot assume responsibility for personal property and equipment brought onto the premises.
Goeglein's and the Scottish Rite Center will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items on our premises.

Decorations

We do not allow the use of confetti, rice or bottles of bubbles at the Scottish Rite Center.
To maintain the quality of the facility, we do not allow customers to attach materials to any surface in our facility without first making arrangements with the catering office.
